Types of Entry Visas

According to instructions given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, service visas are issued to holders of service passports at the discretion of the Minister of Interior Affairs to implement the principle of reciprocity. If a foreign national fails to acquire an appropriate visa, the residence officer needs to be informed immediately.
The Iraqi government grants work permits to foreigners with pre-drawn employment contracts with Iraqi firms if sufficient proof of transfer, position, or employment is provided. As part of the initial application or after approval, dependents of the foreigner may also receive residence permits and visas.

New Regulations

As of April 1, 2022, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced that the PCR test will no longer be required for passengers who can show their vaccination cards.
A valid PCR test result will be required only for passengers who are not able to present their Vaccination Card.
